Am I the last one posting about this upcoming kdrama? Well, I've been reading news and updates about this drama since the final cast has been introduced and announced, but I just couldn't find to time to write and react.
Okay, so Nice Guy is classified as melodrama. I know some of you hate this genre, but to me, any genre is fine as long as the story is interesting. I have no specific type of dramas in mind, I just give one a try and see how it goes.
So the story is about a young man (our hero) who will get revenge on his ex using a woman with amnesia. Wow, how cruel is that? Using a woman is bad enough. Taking advantage of her condition is just cruel.
Yes, she's the woman with amnesia and will be used by our hero in his revenge. What I like about her character is that she's not the weak or naive type. Our heroine has strong personality, tough and an heiress! Yup, she's the chaebol successor not our hero. Sometimes, it's more interesting and appealing if we reverse things. I've had enough of Cinderella stories.
Anyways, here's an excerpt from Hancinema's description of our heroine:
Unlike pretty plutocrat daughter who live pretty lives, Seo Eun-gi is one who was raised as an heiress all her life and has been trained that everything in the world is her enemy, draining her all emotions. She is also pure that no matter how cold-hearted she is, she meets a man named Kang Maru and falls madly in love with him. What makes her different is that, she's independent and raised as strong woman. Most kdramas, portray daughters from rich families as spoiled brat and dependent girl without backbone. Her character reminds me of Yoo Hee. Remember the witch whose heart was captivated by our nice guy Mu Ryong? Oh how I miss Jae Hee. Thank God he'll be returning in dramaland with May Queen.
So she'll have a motorcycle accident and gets amnesia? I dunno.
