Is it about time for me to watch Tw drama this year? 'Coz I haven't seen one yet (this year). Just like what ockoala said, we hardly see good Tw dramas in recent years. I don't remember the last Tw drama I've seen. I just know that the last one I liked was Autumn's Concerto. It's the first time I got to like and appreciate Van Ness. And I really loved Ady An in that drama.
As I was browsing ockoala's page, I saw her post about this upcoming drama called, "Summertime". It is a drama adaptation of a 2009 romantic film with the same title. The story is about a gifted pianist girl who goes to Kinmen for summer vacation and meets a local boy. And that summer became the best summer for both of them.
I think this is a makjang but ockoala denies it. Haha! The girl has terminal illness, the very usual element of a makjng drama. The girl also has a twin sister and the boy doesn't know about it. In the trailer, there's this scene where the sick girl hides in the bathroom (because she doesn't want him to find out about her condition) while he's talking to her twin. Aw. The guy must be clueless that he's with different person.
Don't get me wrong, even I consider this a makjang, I like it and will definitely find time to watch it. I've only seen George Hu once in a drama, and I thought his acting in Romantic Princess was awful. But in this drama, I can see improvement. Looking forward to this!
