Nandito Ako Episode 3

Uh-oh Holly is in trouble. It seems karma is turning on her. She is caught with weed by their college dean.

Episode 3 Recap

It's her father's death anniversary so Anya visits again the hotel where her father died. She talks to her dad while looking at the fountain. She tells him she just lost her job and doesn't know what to do. "Dad, do you hear me? Sometimes, I just think that everything was just a dream—that you came back and your promise."

She  opens her bag and brings out  the broken watch she keeps. "But dad, when I look at this, this tells me it wasn't a dream. Mom said there's no such thing as happy ending and knight and shining armor. But I believe that one day, there will be someone who will make my dreams come true."

Josh arrives in the place, running. He stops then slowly walks towards the fountain. He gets sentimental as he looks at the hotel. Chit, his manager arrives before he could get closer. She takes Josh to the car so people won't see him. (Whew! not yet the time for him to meet Anya again.)

Holly begs her friends to tell the truth, that the weed was not hers, tells them her mom will kill her if she finds out about it. But her friends refuse to help her and say they all  have parents to deal with. And since she's close  to her mom (that's what she tells everyone), they are sure her mom will understand. (That's what fake friends are for.)

Steve gives Josh documents that proves his mother is dead. It says where his mum died and where she's buried.

He is brought to his mother's grave. Josh looks at the gravestone, he kneels down and tears start falling. Billy pats his shoulder, "Are you okay, bro?" Josh cries, "I don't know. I just hoped that maybe my mum is still be alive."

Holly's mom comes out from the dean's office. She goes straight to Holly, scolds her and gives her a big slap (oh no, poor Holly). Anya  happens to be there. She goes to Holly and helps her to stand up. Holly pushes her away, says, "You may laugh at me now!", and walks away.

Holly's friends are talking about what happened. Anya overhears their conversation. Girl1: "Did you see that? Many people were there." Girl2: "It's her fault, she should have told Tita Margareth the truth. She should have been slapped in their house and not here in school." Girl3 says she feels guilty because Holly is not at fault. But Girl2 stresses they should keep quiet or else they get will the blame and be in trouble.

Anya follows Holly in the stairs when she sees her still crying. She lends her a handkerchief. Holly accepts it without knowing who's handing it to her. She wipes her tears . She turns to Anya to return it. That's the only time she realizes it's Anya. "What are you doing here? Are you here to make fun of me?" Anya explains that she doesn't have ill intention. She says she understands her, she knows how it feels to be humiliated in front of many people. Holly responds, "I have friends, okay? I don't need you!"

Anya turns her back. Holly speaks again, "Hey, I humiliated you. You lost your job because of me. You have to hate me! Why are you helping me? Anya: "Because you need help. Isn't that enough reason?" (from enemies to friends?)

Comments:

Wow, David can act. The scene where he was crying was perfect. I could feel the emotion. It was heartbreaking.

I am happy to see Anya reaching out to Holly, very good girl. She still shows concern to her despite their conflict. We now get a hint that the two will eventually be friends.

Can I just say that I am annoyed by Josh's driver? Does he really have to speak like that? His accent is exaggerated. Also his uniform, who wears that nowadays? I think chauffeurs were only wearing that kind back in the 60's or 70's. Not sure in other countries though, I am only talking of the Philippines.  My point is, it is better to be realistic, isn't it?
